Transportation
Public Transport in Town
Istanbul has an extensive and efficient public transportation network operated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Delegates can travel throughout the city using the metro, tram, funicular, bus, Metrobus, and ferry services. The city’s integrated transport system makes it easy to reach major business, cultural, and tourist areas. Payment is made using the Istanbulkart, a rechargeable travel card accepted across all public transport modes. Taxis and ride-hailing services are also widely available throughout the city.
By Train
Istanbul is served by the Marmaray rail network, which connects the European and Asian sides of the city via an undersea tunnel beneath the Bosphorus. High-speed train services also connect Istanbul with several major cities across Türkiye. The closest stations can be reached conveniently by metro or taxi from the congress venue.
By Plane
Istanbul is served by two international airports:
- Istanbul Airport (IST), one of the world’s largest international hubs, offering direct flights to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
- Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), serving both domestic and international routes.
Both airports are well connected to the city centre through metro lines, airport shuttle services, taxis, and private transfer options, making travel to and from the congress venue straightforward and convenient. Istanbul benefits from direct air connections to more than 400 destinations worldwide, making it one of the most accessible congress destinations globally.
Venue Parking
ICEC and the surrounding Congress Valley area offer parking facilities for delegates arriving by car. Additional public parking options are available within walking distance of the venue, as well as at neighbouring hotels and congress facilities.
